Design Communications were approached by M.D. Mills Ltd as their BT Versatility phone system had experienced a complete loss of power so that no incoming or outgoing calls were possible.
Initially they spoke with BT, who agreed that they could help, but it was going to take several weeks before one of their engineers to could come to the site to resolve this issue.
They were offered a call divert during this time. As with any business, telephones are a critical part of day-to-day operations, so M.D. Mills were recommended to contact Design Communications to see if they could resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Design Communications agreed to install a new phone system the same day, so M.D Mills were up and running within 4 working hours of their initial phone call.
Design Communications also upgraded them to Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) and Internet-based SIP lines, giving them:
- Reduced costs – lines are approximately 50% cheaper than the cost of BT-based exchange lines and the customer is getting free calls to UK landlines.
- Automatic failover to a mobile in the event of power or system failure.
Rob Hall, M.D. Mill’s Managing Director commented:
“We were delighted to have our issue resolved so quickly and painlessly by an established local company – it was a fantastic bonus that the savings made compared with what we were paying paid for the new system in less than 12 months”.
Since the system upgrade, we have provided a high level of service which exceeds the customers’ expectations.
